Zach Warzecka

Hello, my name is Zach Warzecka and I am a mental health counselor pending licensure at the associate level. I hold a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Nortern Arizona University and have experience working with adults to treat anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, relationship issues, life transitions, and intrusive thoughts.

My primary goal as a therapist is to aid you in creating the kind of experience that you will find meaningful, fulfilling, and healthy. I eclectically adapt my approach to meet your needs, and the goals you would like to accomplish, integrating narrative therapy with intersectional feminist and mindfulness perspectives (acceptance and commitment therapy, mindful self-compassion).

In simpler terms, we will foster change and growth by exploring who you are and unpacking the influences that inform the ways you think, feel, and act. We will aim to shift your relationship with challenging thoughts, emotions, and sensations, allowing you to reconnect with a life driven by your values rather than your symptoms.

No matter the goals you set for our work, I always strive to offer a culturally responsive space that validates the lived experiences and emotions of diverse individuals. To this end, my clinical practices employs an LGTBQIA+ affirming stance; I work with adults of all gender conforming and non-conforming identifications and approach therapy from an anti-oppressive lens.

As a former professor and faculty advisor, I also have extensive experience supporting undergrad and graduate communities and welcome the opportunity to aid both students and teachers in processes of growth, discovery, and healing.

If you’d like to create new ways of engaging yourself and your life, characterized by insight, acceptance, and (self) compassion, I look forward to collaborating with you.
