Makkell  Baillargeon

Hi, I’m Makkell (pronounced muh-kell). I am a Licensed Associate Counselor and earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Montana State University and my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University.

I grew up in Montana and now call Arizona home, where I’ve come to appreciate both the sunshine and the opportunities for growth that come with change. Growing up in a community with limited access to mental health resources shaped my passion for this work and inspired my commitment to expanding access to compassionate, evidence-based care for all.

I bring over six years of experience supporting the mental health of children, adolescents, and adults in both virtual and in-person settings across the United States. My clinical experience includes working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma-related concerns, and complex mental health diagnoses.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in a humanistic, person-centered framework, meaning I prioritize meeting you where you are and moving at a pace that feels safe and collaborative. I integrate evidence-based strategies from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support practical, meaningful change. I view therapy as a collaborative process where healing begins with understanding, and I work with clients to explore thoughts, emotions, and patterns while developing effective tools for everyday life.

I strive to create a welcoming, respectful, and nonjudgmental space. I would be honored to support you as you work toward healing, growth, and greater well-being.
