Marjorie De Jesus (she/her), Intern Therapist
Hi! I’m Marjorie (she/her), a Counselor-in-Training currently enrolled in Prescott College’s online Master’s program in Counseling.
Through my personal, academic, and professional experiences, I’ve come to deeply value counseling in all its forms. I believe that healing happens in relationships and that one of the most powerful things I can offer is a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
I take an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing from a variety of modalities depending on each client’s needs. I believe the foundation of effective counseling is a strong therapeutic relationship, so I prioritize trust and connection above all else. Once we’ve built that foundation, we can work together in a solution-focused way toward any goals you may have.
Before entering the counseling field, I worked as a Special Education teacher, supporting neurodivergent individuals from many walks of life. I’m especially passionate about helping neurodivergent clients navigate the balance between their internal needs and the external demands of everyday life, a challenging task that becomes more manageable with steady support.
Working toward healing and growth can feel overwhelming, especially when past experiences weigh heavily on the present. My goal is to walk alongside you in a trauma-informed, compassionate way while helping you move through emotions rather than avoid them, and supporting you as you integrate your experiences into a more mindful, authentic life.
