Preventing and Addressing Concerns:
Technology, Ethics, and Clients
This training is designed to provide attendees with increased competency regarding ethical considerations related to behavioral health services and technology. Focus will be given to preventing and addressing emerging ethical dilemmas related to use of technology including but not limited to use of social media, telehealth, messaging, etc. by clinicians and clients. Attendees will have the opportunity to review and apply relevant codes of ethics, rules, laws, and ethical decision-making models.
Patricia’s education and professional background spans the fields of law, behavioral health, and academia. She worked as an Assistant State’s Attorney before pursuing a career in behavioral health and becoming a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Arizona. She has provided therapy services and supervision in various settings including community mental health, school-based programs, and in private practice.
Patricia has also held several leadership positions such as Clinical Supervisor, Director, and Vice President of Behavioral Health in various settings before launching the Clinical Best Practice Institute (CBPI). Patricia’s background uniquely situates her to provide quality clinical supervision, consultation, and training. CBPI also partners with Collaborative Counseling Institute to elevate training and networking opportunities for behavioral health professionals in Arizona.
