Psychedelic Integration

Though we are seeing efforts to decriminalize them, most psychedelic medicines are currently still illegal and are not being used in psychotherapy outside of clinical trials. While we acknowledge that they are currently illegal, we also understand how powerful these molecules can be, and know that people will engage them despite legal barriers.

With this in mind, we at Tucson Counseling Associate support a person’s choice to use these molecules at their own discretion, and will help discuss and process those experiences through our Psychedelic Integration services, which are different from Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy.

We offer short term (6-8) sessions for integration therapy. Please keep in mind that these sessions are traditional 50 minute talk therapy (utilizing whichever modalities your therapist is proficient in), aimed at processing and/or integrating an upcoming independent session or a previous independent session. AS MOST PSYCHEDELICS ARE ILLEGAL OUTSIDE OF CLINICAL TRIALS, THESE SESSIONS DO NOT INVOLVE THE PRESENCE OF ANY PSYCHEDELIC MOLECULES.

Psychedelic Psychotherapy Provider Trainings

It is our passion to train other providers in offer psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy modalities to their practice. As such, we’ve created a 4 Module course to walk you through the process of adding Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy to your practice. With passionate independently licensed professionals on our team that have all continued their education with MAPS (Multi-disciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies) and CIIS (California Institute of Integrative Studies), we will keep rolling out new trainings.
