Sage Argyros

In our society, we often navigate oppressive systems that negatively impact our lives, making it challenging to achieve our dreams. My passion lies in minimizing the effects of institutional oppression on individuals and empowering them to cope and find resilience in their lives.

My approach is rooted in harm reduction, queer-informed, feminist, and trauma-informed principles. I am committed to affirming approaches honoring each client’s unique identity, needs, and strengths.

I draw from various therapeutic modalities, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. I tailor these approaches to meet each individual’s specific needs and preferences. Additionally, I strongly believe in the power and potential of psychedelic-assisted therapy to harness internal strengths and insights. Recognizing that intervention must be viewed through a social justice lens, my work as a therapist extends beyond our sessions.

Before joining Tucson Counseling Associates, I worked extensively with children, teens, adults, and their families, helping them gain personal insight and build upon their internal strengths. In my practice, I take a psychodynamic and collaborative approach, meeting each client where they are and providing supportive treatment using evidence-based strategies to facilitate their journey through life.
